SEPTEMBER 8, 2024 – INSTALLATION SERVICE FOR PASTOR EJ SET FOR OCTOBER 13- RESERVATIONS NOW OPEN!Reserve here at EventBrite! Waialua UCC is proud to announce that Pastor EJ will be officially installed as Waialua UCC’s pastor on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the church’s Sanctuary! This event will be in hosted by Waialua UCC and the O’ahu Association of the United Church of Christ. Clergy are invited to stole and process (the liturgical color is RED). Reception to follow in the church’s fellowship hall (the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Community Center). Everyone is invited to attend! JULY 28, 2024 – THE REV. EJ RAVAGO BEGINS MINISTRY AS WAIALUA UCC’s SETTLED PASTOR!Learn more about the April candidating weekend and Pastor E.J.’s journey to ministry in last quarter’s edition of The Beacon! The Rev. Earl Joven “EJ” Ravago has begun his ministry at Waialua UCC, starting with a Sunday of fellowship, food, and praise from members and friends of the congregation. The son of Filipino immigrants who settled in the suburbs of Chicago, Pastor EJ is a husband, father, and minister committed to following and serving Jesus wherever He takes him. His Filipino-American identity shapes his view of ministry – namely, that everyone is family and that the best times are shared over food and to serve and grow as a multiethnic congregation – a glimpse of God’s Kingdom. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and North Park Theological Seminary. From 2016 to June 2024, he served as the lead pastor of the church he planted, the New Abbey Covenant Church in Waukegan, Illinois. He is married to JL and has three children. |
JUNE 1, 2024 – TUESDAY MARKET WAIALUA TO MEET MONTHLY FOR THE SUMMERTIME Tuesday Market Waialua will be meeting on a monthly schedule during the summertime, running from June to August of this year.
