The Rev. Earl Joven “EJ” Ravago has begun his ministry at Waialua UCC, starting with a Sunday of fellowship, food, and praise from members and friends of the congregation.

The son of Filipino immigrants who settled in the suburbs of Chicago, Pastor EJ is a husband, father, and minister committed to following and serving Jesus wherever He takes him.  His Filipino-American identity shapes his view of ministry – namely, that everyone is family and that the best times are shared over food and to serve and grow as a multiethnic congregation – a glimpse of God’s Kingdom.   He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and North Park Theological Seminary.   From 2016 to June 2024, he served as the lead pastor of the church he planted, the New Abbey Covenant Church in Waukegan, Illinois.  He is married to JL and has three children.
